The Maurice Lacroix Les Classiques Date Automatique exemplifies the most majestic features that elegance can offer. Three hands, one date. That's all there is to it. Almost.
Black or silvered, the dial is characterized by a graceful blend of balance and lightness in form, lines and arrangement. All round it are long applique markers, and three fine hands revolve above it. The hands for the hours and minutes are luminous, and in the twilight they come to life and continue tirelessly to observe the march of time.
Only the window of the date display, at 6 o'clock, punctuates the perfect order of the harmoniously proportioned dial. The stainless steel case, water-resistant to a depth of 30 metres, also adopts dimensions which abstain from all ostentation: a diameter of 38 mm, inside which beats the automatic ML 115. A two-coloured version, with an 18 carat yellow-gold bezel, lends a sporting look to this timepiece, available with either a leather strap or a metal bracelet.
