Maurice Lacroix AIKON Liberty Edition – a limited 250-piece Swiss watch celebrating 250 years of U.S. freedom, heritage, and craftsmanship.

More than a watch, it is a tribute to one of the most powerful symbols of freedom and independence in the world. Created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Liberty Edition embodies the spirit, resilience, and craftsmanship that define both American heritage and Swiss watchmaking excellence. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to tell a story, one that connects history, symbolism, and design into a truly meaningful collectors piece. This is not simply an adaptation of an existing reference, but a watch with a clear narrative and emotional purpose: to commemorate a historic milestone with authenticity, depth, and pride.

Crafted in brass with a refined Clou de Paris pattern, the dial is presented in a distinctive “Bartholdi Green,” directly inspired by the enduring patina of the Statue of Liberty. At its heart, the design pays tribute to one of America’s most iconic symbols: Seven luminous spikes radiate from the signature crown-shaped appliqué, echoing the Statue of Liberty’s crown. Coated with Super LumiNova, they create a striking glow in low light, an evocative nod to illumination, freedom, and the spirit of independence. The date window appears in red, a subtle yet powerful reference to July 4th, reinforcing the celebratory nature of this edition.

Encircling the caseback, 13 stars are elegantly engraved, symbolizing the original thirteen states and anchoring the timepiece firmly in American heritage. This limited edition is restricted to just 250 pieces worldwide, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, making each watch a rare collector’s tribute to history, craftsmanship, and national identity. Created in a limited edition of 250 pieces to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Maurice Lacroix AIKON Liberty Edition pays tribute to freedom and American heritage through distinctive symbolic design details and Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship.

With a thickness of 8.4 mm and water-resistance to 10 metres, the case of the 1975 Quartz 33 mm meets the exacting requirements of Maurice Lacroix’s ‘Masterpiece specification’. The careful alternation of brushed and polished surfaces captures the light and amplifies reflections, particularly when the watch is worn. The attention to detail is evident in numerous features, such as the lugs, which are satin-finished on top and highlighted with polished bevels. This subtle interplay is the result of advanced craftsmanship, a feat born of absolute precision. This aesthetic balance extends to the five-row metal bracelet, specially created for the 1975 collection.

Made of stainless steel and equipped with a butterfly clasp, it fits snugly around the wrist for total comfort. Satin-finished outer links frame three polished centre links. On the two-tone version, accents of yellow gold-coloured PVD 2N provide a striking contrast, further enhancing its vintage-inspired character. Versions with white or pink mother-of-pearl dials are also available with matching leather straps. Embossed with the Maurice Lacroix logo, redesigned to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary, the strap fastens with a pin buckle. All straps feature the brand’s exclusive Easy Strap Exchange system, designed for everyday versatility and offering a quick and tool-free way to change straps as often as you like.
