“As well as its beautiful watches, I also appreciate Maurice Lacroix’s strategy, which believes in the potential of young athletes by supporting them on their journey to victory,” enthuses Kim Métraux.
Kim Métraux, 24, and her sister Morgane, 22, have shared a common passion for golf since early childhood. Educated in Switzerland, after several competition wins, they decided to take the plunge five years ago by flying out to the United States to combine their university studies with their golfing careers.
“SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION”. Beyond a slogan, this is a genuine value of the Maurice Lacroix brand, whose modern vision of watchmaking is firmly focused on the future. For over 40 years, Maurice Lacroix watches have been produced in the manufacture’s innovative workshops. They bring together all the elements required to produce exceptional watches with high perceived value: watch know-how, skilled artisans, industrial expertise, technological skill, and a marked taste for quality. Over the years, the manufacture has won over a dozen prestigious awards. The brand continues to grow by drawing on a winning formula: quality, reliability, ingenuity and determination, which it expresses through unprecedented designs. It offers a new vision of time intended to encourage and support its clients and friends on their road to success.
After winning a historic silver medal for Switzerland at the world team championships in 2016 in Cancun, Mexico, the athletes now have their hopes set even higher. Currently in the United States for their season, they hope to qualify for the 2020 LPGA Tour contested from January to November across the world. The women’s golf elite compete on this circuit. But they also have yet another challenge; it is no secret that the two sisters want to win medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
