Maurice Lacroix is proud to be teaming up with the Harmony Genève Marathon for Unicef. For the next few years, the watchmaker will accompany thousands of people through this human challenge that takes place in the heart of the city of Calvin.
It is often considered one of the most beautiful as well as one of the fastest marathons in Europe. The entire course offers a stunning view of the lake and its legendary water jet. In 2019, more than 138 different nationalities competed in the race with the aim of beating their personal records, which was the case for 50% of the participants.
In 2016, the sports competition joined other international elite running events that have been recognised for the quality of their organisation, top-class participants and course, when it was awarded the World Athletics Road Race Label by the International Athletics Federation. Two years later, the event received a second award: the «5 star» label from the European Athletics Federation.
This high level of excellence and international reputation has inspired Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix: «It’s an honour for our brand to become a partner of the Harmony Genève Marathon for Unicef over the next few years. Through its global appeal, it manages to unite a community and brings a whole city to life during a race. We are delighted to team up with a modern, urban and emblematic event for the long term!»
Benjamin Chandelier, Managing Director of Harmony Genève Marathon for Unicef is also extremely pleased with this news: «We are proud to welcome the Swiss watchmaking brand Maurice Lacroix to our large family of partners for this event. We are sure it will be a long journey together with Maurice Lacroix as we share many common values that inspire us, in particular: precision, innovation and a marked taste for quality.»
