MAURICE LACROIX RUNNING CLUB COMPETITION

 

PARTICIPATION RULES

 

1. These participation rules (“Rules”) apply to the Maurice Lacroix competition that will be organized for all participants to the Maurice Lacroix Running Club within the STRAVA application (https://www.strava.com/) from March 30th, 2020 until July 15th, 2020 (the “Competition”).

By participating to the Competition, each Participant expressly agrees to have fully understood and to be bound by these Rules.

 

2. The Competition is promoted and organized by Maurice Lacroix SA, with registered address at Rue des Rangiers 21, 2350 - Saignelégier, Switzerland (hereinafter referred to as “Maurice Lacroix”).

 

3. These Rules are available in English only and are displayed on the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration web page.

 

4. Maurice Lacroix reserves the right to cancel the Competition and/or change the Rules at any time without prior notice to Participants, without liability to the Participants. Any changes will be posted on the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration web page.

 

QUALIFYING ENTRANTS

 

5. The Competition is open to all natural persons of legal age, located all over the world, who are STRAVA’s registered users and who have joined the Maurice Lacroix Running Club, on the STRAVA application.

Only one (1) participation per person is permitted.  Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. Entries submitted through agents or third parties or in bulk (i.e. more entries than a human being could submit in the time available without the use of software or other devices designed to make automated entries) will not be accepted. Any entries which are incomplete, incorrect, inaudible, incomprehensible, or not received by Maurice Lacroix will be void.

All participants who have not reached the legal age in their country of residence are not permitted to participate in the Competition. Maurice Lacroix reserves the right to ask for the proof of legal age at any time, and in particular during the attribution and/or sending of any eventual prize to the participant. In case any participant fails to submit such identification and proof of legal age within one (1) week from the request, Maurice Lacroix will be entitled to cancel his/her participation in the Competition.

 

6. By participating in the Competition, the participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these Rules,  warrants that he/she has the legal capacity to enter the Competition and to accept the Rules (i.e. that he/she is of sufficient age and mental capacity and is entitled to be legally bound in a contract).

 

7. Employees and immediate family members of Maurice Lacroix employees and their associated companies, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies connected with the creation or administration of the Competition are eligible to take part in the Competition. Maurice Lacroix reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants.

 

8. There is no purchase requirement to participate in the Competition and there is no charge to use the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration web page and/or the STRAVA application and/or other social media other than the usual Internet connection charges payable to your service provider and/or telephone company.

 

9. By participating in the Competition, each participant hereby warrants that all personal details submitted are true, current and complete and that the e-mail addresses submitted are accurate and valid.

 

10. Maurice Lacroix reserves the right to disqualify any participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any of these Rules.

 

11. In the event of the Competition being regarded as illegal in the country of residence of any participant, the latter must refrain from participating. 

 

 

HOW TO PLAY

 

12. Maurice Lacroix is happy to announce the creation of a Maurice Lacroix Running Club within the STRAVA application that will be running from March 30th, 2020, 12:01 a.m. CET, to July 15th, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. CET.

 

13. The Competition will consist of five (5) different challenges, as follows:

Run for at least thirty (30) minutes in your city and try to create a M-shaped track.

 Share your activity on Instagram using #MLRC and @mauricelacroix.

Country Battle Challenge

Are you ready to represent your country?

Run at least five (5) km.

There will be a country ranking. The country for which participants will have run the most kilometers will be #1 in the world.

The ranking will be updated daily.

10 km Challenge

Are you ready to help Sarah Atcho reach Tokyo?

Ten thousand (10,000) km separate Lausanne, where Sarah lives, from Tokyo, where she will participate to the Olympic Games. We are counting on the entire Maurice Lacroix Running Club team to reach ten thousand (10,000) kilometers to get Sarah to Tokyo. You need to run at least ten (10) km in one time in order to participate to the prize draw.

 After the completion of each challenge, participants will receive a reward email from STRAVA. On this email will be displayed a “Redeem Reward” button which will redirect the participant to the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration web page.

On the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration page, participants will be asked to provide their personal information, to agree to the present Rules and to read and acknowledge to the Privacy Policy that will be displayed on the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration page.  

 

Once a participant has completed his/her registration on the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration page, he/she becomes eligible to win the relevant prize.  

 

 

Participants who have completed all five (5) Challenges and for each Challenge have submitted their personal information within the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration web page, will also take part to a final lucky draw (the “Draw”).

 

The prizes for this Draw will be the Maurice Lacroix AIKON Chronograph Limited Edition worth 1390 CHF (to be intended as recommended retail price).

 

Prizes of the Challenges and of the Draw are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Maurice Lacroix reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value.

 

14. Winners of each Challenge and of the Draw will be chosen by Maurice Lacroix at random. Each winner will be notified by email by Maurice Lacroix within fifteen (15) days upon closure of the relevant Challenge; the winner of the Draw will be notified by email by Maurice Lacroix within July 15th, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. CET. If a selected winner cannot be contacted within four (4) weeks or Maurice Lacroix, at its sole discretion, declares him/her ineligible to receive the prize, he/she will be forfeited from the relevant Challenge and/or the Draw and an alternative winner will be selected from the remaining valid, eligible participants to the Challenge and/or the Draw.  

 

15. Maurice Lacroix will use its reasonable endeavors to send the prizes to the winners within a delay of two (2) months from the day of notification. The winners of the Challenges and of the Draw are not entitled to claim any other prize of similar value (in product or in cash) than the ones foreseen by Maurice Lacroix in the present Rules.

 

16. Participants who have completed any Challenge will have fifteen (15) days from the date of completion of the Challenge to complete the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration page.

 

17. All personal data provided by each participant (e-mail, year of birth, etc.) will be stored and processed according to the applicable data protection laws as well as the Privacy Notice displayed on the Maurice Lacroix Competition Registration page (https://mauricelacroix.com/ch_en/privacy-policy-strava).

 

18. All intellectual property rights and ownership related to the Competition (the “Rights”) shall, to the extent permitted by applicable law, fully and exclusively belong to Maurice Lacroix. These Rights shall, if possible and permitted under/by applicable law, directly accrue in the ownership of Maurice Lacroix.

 

19. These Rules are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with substantive Swiss law whereby the Swiss conflict of law rules are hereby excluded from application to these Rules.

 

20. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Rules, a Challenge and/or the Draw shall be resolved exclusively before the courts in Zurich, Switzerland.

 

21.  Any recourse to legal action / ordinary courts of law is excluded.

 

22. This Competition is organized solely by Maurice Lacroix. As such, any complaint by participants on any matter related to the running of any Challenge and/or the Draw or the designation of the winners, will have to be addressed directly to Maurice Lacroix. Without prejudice to the foregoing, any participant’s use of the STRAVA application in connection with the Competition or otherwise, however, remains subject to STRAVA’s then-current terms and conditions and associated privacy policy.

 

23. Nothing in these Rules shall exclude or limit Maurice Lacroix’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its staff or supplier’s negligence or for fraud. Subject to this, Maurice Lacroix cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any participant or as a result of accepting any prize. Maurice Lacroix is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials related to the Competition.

Maurice Lacroix cannot promise that the services relating to the Competition will be free from errors or omissions nor that they will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. These services may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons reasonably beyond the control of Maurice Lacroix. Maurice Lacroix will not be liable in the event that all or any part of the service relating to the Competition is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
