1975 Quartz 33mm
The brand’s most classic collection – the 1975 – now on a whole new scale, for even greater appeal. The new 1975 Quartz 33 mm presents a refined aesthetic, featuring balanced proportions perfectly suited to wrists that value finesse. Genuine diamonds, sun-brushed dials, in pink or white mother-of-pearl, and two-tone accents: eight references set the heart and time racing with refinement.
Launched in 2025, the 1975 collection marked the 50th anniversary of Maurice Lacroix. Born from extensive research in the Manufacture's archives, its vintage aesthetic draws inspiration from the brand’s iconic 1988 Les Classiques series. Maurice Lacroix's contemporary expertise anchors the retro-modern spirit of the 1975 in precision, reliability and durability. With high-quality materials and refined finishes, this collection upholds the Manufacture’s enduring commitment to Swiss watchmaking excellence and its signature high perceived value.
A polished bezel, with perfectly balanced curves, frames the face of the watch. On the most opulent version, the bezel sparkles with 60 natural diamonds certified as responsibly sourced by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), with a total weight of 0.67 carat. The non-gem-set versions feature a silver-toned dial with a delicate sun-brushed finish, characteristic of the 1975 collection, for a subtle lustre. The gem-set versions are adorned with pearly white or delicate pink mother-of-pearl – an organic material with unique iridescent hues born from the sea.
On the gem-set versions, 12 RJC diamonds (with a total weight of 0.08 carat) mark the hours in a dazzling display. For the other versions, faceted and diamond-polished indexes adopt the signature lozenge form of the 1975 collection. Their elongated trapeze-shaped design is mirrored by the dauphine-style hour and minute hands. A central second hand and a minute track around the edge of this refined, minimalist dial ensure highly accurate timekeeping. On the two-tone model, a yellow gold-coloured PVD 2N coating adds contrast to the hands and indexes, harmonising with the matching bezel. A discreet date window at 3 o'clock provides a particularly useful and appreciated feature for everyday use.
With a thickness of 8.4 mm and water-resistance to 10 metres, the case of the 1975 Quartz 33 mm meets the exacting requirements of Maurice Lacroix’s ‘Masterpiece specification’. The careful alternation of brushed and polished surfaces captures the light and amplifies reflections, particularly when the watch is worn. The attention to detail is evident in numerous features, such as the lugs, which are satin-finished on top and highlighted with polished bevels. This subtle interplay is the result of advanced craftsmanship, a feat born of absolute precision. This aesthetic balance extends to the five-row metal bracelet, specially created for the 1975 collection. Made of stainless steel and equipped with a butterfly clasp, it fits snugly around the wrist for total comfort. Satin-finished outer links frame three polished centre links. On the two-tone version, accents of yellow gold-coloured PVD 2N provide a striking contrast, further enhancing its vintage-inspired character. Versions with white or pink mother-of-pearl dials are also available with matching leather straps. Embossed with the Maurice Lacroix logo, redesigned to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary, the strap fastens with a pin buckle. All straps feature the brand’s exclusive Easy Strap Exchange system, designed for everyday versatility and offering a quick and tool-free way to change straps as often as you like.
