Maurice Lacroix is taking a new step forward in its vision as a brand that actively seeks to conquer cities. As such, the watch manufacturer is proud to announce its collaboration as the Official Timekeeper of the BMW Berlin-Marathon.
Immersing yourself in the heart of a city and soaking up its unique atmosphere through personal challenges is a vision that is further strengthened by the brand’s partnership with one of the world’s fastest marathons, the BMW Berlin-Marathon. This internationally renowned event has seen 6 world records broken in 11 years. Founded in 1974, it made history when the course passed through the Brandenburg Gate for the very first time in 1990. Since then, the event has continued to grow and been popular with both athletes and the general public. In fact, since 2019, around 130 different nationalities and 61,000 enthusiasts have taken to the streets of the German capital, cheered on by around a million spectators. Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of the brand emphasises the importance of this partnership: “This accessible and modern urban race is in perfect harmony with our vision for this type of event. This marathon is also a life-changing challenge for athletes and amateur sportspeople alike. We are delighted to be part of this incredible adventure.”
