AIKON Manual 39mm Collectors Edition
In 2024, Maurice Lacroix launched the AIKON Manual 39mm Collectors Edition Deep Blue, the first AIKON to feature a manual-winding movement. This model follows the collaboration between Maurice Lacroix and Koji Nakazawa, founder of Maurice Lacroix Watch Club Japan. The AIKON Manual 39mm Collectors Edition, featuring a manual-winding movement, is now available in a new Sand Champagne color. Limited to 500 pieces, this new model is inspired by Japanese collectors who love vintage timepieces.
The Collector's Edition follows collaboration models designed by Nakazawa in 2021 and 2024. Regarding the design of this new color of the AIKON, Nakazawa had this to say: "The AIKON's clean dial, without a date display or second hand, is not only beloved by collectors, but also serves as an important model that connects luxury sports watches and dress watches. We were able to create this model in a new color lineup to give it a more vintage-like, dressy feel. This was made possible thanks to our continued, close relationship with Maurice Lacroix, who sincerely listens to our users' thoughts and feelings and reflects their feedback in new timepieces. This wonderful relationship embodies Maurice Lacroix's commitment to valuing its connection with watch enthusiasts." This limited edition model is perfect for collectors seeking a timepiece that embodies both contemporary luxury and timeless tradition, further solidifying the AIKON's legacy as an icon in the watch industry.
The manual-winding movement allows enthusiasts to engage with the timepiece, fostering an interaction that demonstrates patience and precision. The iconic six-prong bezel and the dial, featuring the Clous de Paris pattern, are presented in a sandy champagne color, a color evocative of elegance and tranquility. The new design retains the AIKON's urban sophistication while adding timeless elegance and a vintage feel. Like the previous model, the Clous de Paris pattern is updated to 0.16mm, down from 0.08mm on the standard model. The folding vintage leather strap, previously exclusive to the Masterpiece collection, now features a new buckle, and the new manual-winding movement has resulted in a 1mm thinner case (10mm, compared to 11mm on the AIKON Automatic). The open caseback is engraved with "Limited Edition of 500," highlighting its exceptional qualities. Maurice Lacroix has also equipped this model with an easy-change system. It is available with a five-link stainless steel bracelet and a brown vintage leather strap featuring a rhodium-plated M logo for versatility.
This special edition embodies the synergy born from the mutual respect and admiration between Maurice Lacroix and Japan for their artistry and innovation. Through this model, Maurice Lacroix celebrates both its watchmaking traditions and the unique tastes of Japanese watch enthusiasts.
Stephane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix, said, "This new chapter in the AIKON collection embodies Maurice Lacroix's innovation and deep respect for watchmaking tradition. By introducing a manual-winding movement and celebrating our ties to Japan, we hope to connect watch enthusiasts directly with the essence of Swiss craftsmanship."
This limited edition model is perfect for collectors seeking a timepiece that embodies both contemporary luxury and timeless tradition, further cementing the AIKON's legacy as an icon in the watch industry.
