Faster. Further. More adrenaline. The new Pontos S Solar by Maurice Lacroix invites you to dive straight into the action. Its excellent Swiss solar quartz calibre transforms light into motion. Precise, robust, and water-resistant to 200 m, this athlete—available in either a three-hand or chronograph version—holds firm when the pressure rises and takes on every challenge.

In its journey across the sky, the Sun is in perpetual motion—precise and constant. An inexhaustible source of energy. Pontos, the sportiest and most water-oriented line from Maurice Lacroix, now features a Swiss solar quartz calibre—an absolute first for the collection. This innovative technology perfectly reflects Maurice Lacroix’s commitment: delivering the very best of Swiss watchmaking know-how with outstanding perceived value. The Pontos S Solar is powered by the recent Ronda 215, while the Pontos S Solar Chronograph features the Ronda 2040.D. Designed and developed in Switzerland, these movements combine exceptional accuracy with remarkable durability—8 months of autonomy at full charge for the three-hand version, 5 months for the chronograph, and over 10 years without a battery change, far beyond a traditional quartz movement.

A TRUE SPORTS WATCH Under pressure or on the surface, the Pontos S Solar speaks the language of performance and water, embracing the codes of a dive watch. A unidirectional rotating bezel with an aluminium insert, optimal readability both in daylight and underwater, a robust stainless-steel case with the signature Pontos lugs, a screw-down protected crown, and a caseback engraved with a maritime compass and waves ensuring water resistance up to 200 meters—this is an athlete built for the most demanding environments.

PLAYS OF LIGHT
Just as the sun recharges those who live life in motion, its light brings the Pontos S Solar to life. Through its smoked dial, light powers the solar movement. That same energy activates the Super-LumiNova display, ready to illuminate the dial when darkness falls. Maurice Lacroix has chosen two emission colors for immediate readability: blue for the minute hand and the first 15 minutes on the bezel, and green for the hour hand, the indexes, and the remaining markers. The result is an effective and intuitive visual hierarchy.

FLUORESCENT VIBRATIONS
Maurice Lacroix presents two limited editions of the Pontos Solar featuring vivid accents contrasted against the black dial and the satin-brushed and polished case, treated with Gun DLC. The Pontos S Solar electrifies in fluorescent green: on the flange marked with a black minute track, along the outline of the minute hand, on the tip of the seconds hand, and with a matching rubber strap. The Pontos S Solar Chronograph radiates its energy in bright orange, extending even to the hands of the 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock and the 1/10-second counter at 6 o’clock. Alongside these special pieces, Maurice Lacroix introduces the Pontos S Solar and Pontos S Solar Chronograph with black or blue dials and black, blue, or green aluminium bezels, each perfectly matched to the look of the watch. Every model is fitted with an easily interchangeable strap system requiring no tools, offered in two options: a rubber strap embossed with the Maurice Lacroix name, or a five-row metal bracelet combining brushed and polished links

With a thickness of 8.4 mm and water-resistance to 10 metres, the case of the 1975 Quartz 33 mm meets the exacting requirements of Maurice Lacroix’s ‘Masterpiece specification’. The careful alternation of brushed and polished surfaces captures the light and amplifies reflections, particularly when the watch is worn. The attention to detail is evident in numerous features, such as the lugs, which are satin-finished on top and highlighted with polished bevels. This subtle interplay is the result of advanced craftsmanship, a feat born of absolute precision. This aesthetic balance extends to the five-row metal bracelet, specially created for the 1975 collection. Made of stainless steel and equipped with a butterfly clasp, it fits snugly around the wrist for total comfort. Satin-finished outer links frame three polished centre links. On the two-tone version, accents of yellow gold-coloured PVD 2N provide a striking contrast, further enhancing its vintage-inspired character. Versions with white or pink mother-of-pearl dials are also available with matching leather straps. Embossed with the Maurice Lacroix logo, redesigned to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary, the strap fastens with a pin buckle. All straps feature the brand’s exclusive Easy Strap Exchange system, designed for everyday versatility and offering a quick and tool-free way to change straps as often as you like.
